SA Operatunity’s goals are creation of ongoing community projects and introducing the music style and performance in South African communities, telling South African stories, while also focusing on promotion of up-and-coming classical performers and attraction of interest of national community to the event and its participants.
SA Operatunity is becoming one of South Africa’s recognized opera music platforms, a non-profit organization that currently has over 20 trained and professional opera singers and 3 full-time stage personnel from the University of Cape, University of KwaZulu Natal and University of Pretoria. Most of its artists are working in collaboration productions with the Cape Town Opera, ArtsCape Theatre, UCT Opera School (South African College of Music) and Baxter Theatre. The organization is currently managed and administered by 4 professionals of whom are all opera trained performers and alumni.
